2.1 Title: Sports Administration System
2.2 Description of the contract: The building of a world class sporting system in Scotland has an aspiration that Scottish Governing Bodies of sport (SGBs) have modern, effective and efficient business functions. This requires modern technical solutions for the administration of data management and other functions within sports.Over the past eight years sportscotland has been implementing a modern way of developing such systems through the effective use of ICT web based technologies.The introduction of an integrated web or cloud based Sports Administration System solution allows SGBs the opportunity to develop essential core administration systems that includes the data management of the sports membership, its coaches, officials and volunteers. In addition other functions might include; event management , improved member services, online merchandising and other business development processes and functions. It is critical that the chosen solution meets the needs of the SGB, both currently and in the future. that Whilst there are a number of basic functions that all SGBs will require to manage their data, whilst it is important to recognise that each SGB has different requirements and the individuality of each solution is key to the success of the implementation.
