Description: Marine and Fisheries Division provides lead policy advice to the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) Minister in respect of the Marine environment, inland and sea fisheries, aquaculture and fish health protecting Northern Ireland’s coastal and marine environment via legislation, licensing and permits and conservation activities. Marine and Fisheries Division’s new Research Vessel (RV) Blyth 214 conducts the marine scientific work programme in compliance with the Department’s statutory and policy responsibilities. This vessel has already proven to be a much-improved survey platform which provides the space and capability to install a large, much higher resolution Underwater Stereo Video System. DAERA wish to adopt the latest developments in subsea imaging and modelling to enable the collection of high-resolution models for monitoring and analysis of underwater environments and are seeking a contract for the supply, delivery, and maintenance of a Stereo Camera system to install on a variety of deployment mechanisms such as towed sledge, handheld for diver and ROV.
