4. Description: The Awarding Authority Hillsborough has a ‘Birth to bacon’ pig unit for research purposes. The unit operates a three-week batch farrowing system where approximately 260 pigs are weaned every three weeks. AFBI have identified a need for a sow weighbridge that must incorporate into an existing Nedap Electronic Sow Feeding system (ESF). The scope of the contract is to supply, deliver, install, provide staff training, servicing, warranty and support of an incorporated weighbridge module for sows.
