5. Description: In line with their policy to regularly update their fitness equipment, the Sport and Recreation department within awarding authority wish to tender for the supply, delivery and installation of 29 pieces of heavy duty commercial Resistance Exercise equipment for their Fitness Facility at the specified location.
Submitted proposals must provide a minimum of 3 years parts and labour warranty.
The intention is to award this tender at the earliest opportunity in order for the Purchase order to be placed with the successful suppliers during week commencing 2nd May 2016, in order to facilitate delivery of the entire stock before the end of the academic year, 31st July 2016.
The current timetable is for existing equipment within the Fitness Facility at the University Sports Centre to be removed during week commencing 11th July 2016, in order to allow flooring reinforcement work to be carried out in preparation for the delivery and installation of the new replacement stock during the week commencing 18th July 2016. Since the Fitness Facility will need to be closed for this preparatory work and equipment installation to take place, the optimum delivery period is therefore during week commencing 18 July 2016
