Brief Description of Requirement
The British Antarctic Survey have a requirement to purchase Jet Aviation fuel.
Fuel Specification
480 x filled drums of Jet A1+FSII (NATO code F-34, MOD Defence Standard 91-87.US MIL-DTL-83133, JP8)
Drum Specification
Fuel to be supplied in the following:
UN approved 1A1/X 205 litre steel drums
Tight Head Spiralon seamed drum
Two body beads
Fittings: 2″ and ¾” head tri-sure pre lacquered flanges and bungs with black nitrile washers
Internally: Lacquered RDL 5/1
Externally: Body painted black with white ends
Gauge: 1.20mm steel throughout
Tested and marked
Drums Marked as follows:
All drums are to be marked with the appropriate signage for transportation and must include Hazard Class, UN Number, Batch Number, Size, Weight, Destination and Order Number
Availability
The drummed fuel must be available for UKRI collection (or request for delivery as detailed below) no later than October 12th, 2020.

This contract will be awarded based on the evaluation criteria set out in the RFP document.
