Description: ***Please NOTE: This tender will close for the receipt of bids on Monday 19 Feb 2018 at 14.00 GMT.*** STFC is a world-leading multi-disciplinary science organisation, whose goal is to deliver economic, societal, scientific and international benefits to the UK and its people – and more broadly to the world. The Central Laser Facility which is part of the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, require a Gated Optical Imager for use in the Gemini target areas. The unit will be used primarily to record images of a probe laser beam at either 400 nm, 532 nm, or 800 nm. The GOI will also be used record time-resolved images of the self-emission from laser-generated plasmas across the visible spectrum.

UK Shared Business Services e-Sourcing as part of the strategic alliance between UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) and Crown Commercial Service (CCS), UK SBS can use the CCS e-Sourcing Suite for future procurements.

If you have not yet registered on the e-Sourcing Suite, this can be done online at by following the link ‘Register for CCS e-Sourcing’.

Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so.

Once you have registered on the e-Sourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing expressionofinterest@crowncommercial.gov.uk.

Your email must clearly state: the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for; the name of the registered Bidder; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email.

Crown Commercial Service will process the email and then enable the Bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done.
