Project Capella is a new building containing state-of-the-art laboratories currently under construction for the University of Cambridge.
Capella is sited at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and is due for completion in 8.2018. Built by Kier Construction and designed by architects from The Fairhurst Design Group, the six-storey centre will be located directly next to the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. High quality tissue culture facilities are essential to the research of all three Institutes. Ducted microbiological safety cabinets (MSCs) have already been procured for a number of laboratories as part of the project due to the need.
