II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The Capella building will house approximately 600 staff and will accommodate open plan offices, reception, seminar rooms, boardrooms and training facilities for the staff and students from:
— Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID)
— Cambridge stem cell institute,
— Milner therapeutics institute.
The project is located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The guiding principle of the project is the adoption of environmentally sustainable principles and the use of appropriate materials for the works in general.
This project aims have one installation phase, with access prior to building handover (estimated 4.10.2018). Installation can start from 3rd September and is expected to be complete (including testing and snagging) no later than Friday 12.10.2018. Please note, as building handover is not until 4th October, high value equipment is to be installed after this date. Maintenance is expected to be agreed from handover for 12 months; however if maintenance is required during the snagging period, the maintenance end date will be extended accordingly.
