II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
Mandatory technical requirements.
System will robotically deposit metals using the CMT (cold metal transfer) welding process – to include aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and steel. Capable of deposition rates exceeding 4 kg/hr for aluminum and steel and in the case of titanium 2 kg/hr.
Robot will have a minimum of 6 axis movement.
System will have a minimum work envelope of 15,2 m3 with a deposition area of no less than 800 x 800 x 800 mm.
Complete installation must fit within a room – 3,6 m x 3 m x 2,7 m(h)
Will include robot control system for controlling program creation, correction and maintenance, movement in all axes, path planning, sequence control, and monitoring.
System will include automatic torch cleaner.
System will include a magnetic “crashbox” to minimise force on torch in the event of impact.
Tenderer must include installation, calibration, commissioning and training onsite.
