Northumbrian Water is seeking partners who will secure 100 % of the required funding and then deliver renewable energy solutions for its sites. Our intention is to award a maximum of 4 frameworks for wind and solar. These two sources of renewable energy will be our initial focus. There will be 2 lots, with a maximum of 2 suppliers for each lot. Bidders may bid for both lots or just 1 lot.
The framework supplier(s) will finance, project manage, design, procure, construct, operate and maintain the installations. Partners will be offered the exclusive opportunity to develop detailed proposals which allow Northumbrian Water to enter into a long term power purchase contract with the supplier(s). Northumbrian Water will co-ordinate with the framework suppliers to identify and review proposals.
