Negotiated without publication of a contract notice/call for competition.
Kettering General Hospital needs to replace their existing equipment to undertake Blood Culture tests.
It is the Trust intention to be more efficient providing improved services by extending the time during which blood cultures can be loaded onto the blood culture instrument. As time is very limited a fully automated loading facility with minimum input from the operator is required.
The Trust has reviewed the market and only a particular instrument provides full automation that meets the future requirements of the trust.
The Trust intends to award business for the supply of equipment, reagents, consumables and maintenance to Biomerieux.
