Interventional Radiology Packs (Cardio Packs) are built very bespoke to the end user and normally include components which are brand or quality prohibitive to run mini competitions on. Cardiologists will be trained using certain components such as guidewires meaning switching components becomes increasingly difficult to change. The risk of fatality when dealing with the heart is extremely high if asked to use products which they are not familiar with.

Core components will be scissors / stitch cutters / forceps / tweezers. Very few suppliers manufacture their own instruments as these are sourced in the far east and follow the same interdependencies as the single use instrument framework. Any lack of supply on that framework will be replicated on this framework.
