The 7 units will be based around our Acute and Community sites within Merthyr Tydfil and the Cynon valley areas.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
Since 2009 Cwm Taf UHB have been using Hydrogen Peroxide decontamination cleaning for proactive and reactive cleaning of Hospital infectious areas, we have 6 machines based over our Acute and Community sites, as service demands, we move across these sites to support.
The machines are used daily including weekends with prior request and each machine can be used up to 3 times per day for both cubicles and bay areas as well as option for entire ward when patients are discharged, the process runs smoothly and links with various departments Estates, nursing areas and colleagues with infection prevention and control team providing daily/weekly lists of requirements and document compliance.
In 2015 we were informed that as of August 2016 due to changes of EU Law on Hydrogen peroxide that our current supplier was no longer able to supply or revalidate our machines to comply with regs, therefore we are now sourcing replacement units / Consumables and Maintenance
