II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
Web filtering solution for Denbighshire County Council — Corporate, Schools, Libraries and Youth Centres.
Denbighshire is seeking to secure the supply of ERW steel tubing to Cefndy Healthcare.
Cefndy Healthcare operates as a commercial business which manufactures and supplies high quality tubular steel and plastic ‘Aids to Daily Living’, with a range of approximately 300 different products.
The purpose of this tender is to establish a framework agreement, with a list of suppliers who are able to meet Cefndy’s requirements regarding quantity, frequency, dimension, finish and packaging as detailed in the attached specification document. Cefndy wish to partner with suppliers who can focus on cost, quality and service level, delivering value for money and savings.
Due to fluctuation in metal market prices, a mini competition will be held with successful parties to the framework every 3 months.
There is a requirement for laser cut tube to be supplied as part of this framework agreement (drawings provided).
The Council will seek to award a contract for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further year. The contract will start on 30.4.2016.
This procurement will be carried out electronically. Submissions are invited via the Proactis e-sourcing portal:
The closing date for submissions is Wednesday 30.3.2016 at 12:00. Requests for clarification must be submitted via the Proactis portal before 12:00 on Thursday 24th March.
Responses to this notice may be submitted in Welsh. A response submitted in Welsh will be treated no less favourably than a response submitted in English.
Information provided during this procurement process may inform the final specification and the conditions of any contract between the successful contractor(s) and Denbighshire County Council.
The Council reserves the right not to award any contract following this procurement process.
