2.1 Title: Vehicle Test Bay Equipment for Two bays, Taxi Examination Centre
2.2 Description of the goods or services required: This Specification is for two integrated one operator vehicle test bay equipment fully compliant with latest DVSA testing standards in order to continue to deliver a service to the Taxi Licence trade. The total cost would include supply, delivery, and installation (including construction work for the brake testers), testing commissioning and annual maintenance costs. This equipment should be guaranteed to last in excess of 15 years and should be procured with an all- inclusive maintenance package.Equipment must facilitate single operative operation. Equipment supplied and maintained must comply to the latest Driver& Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) testing standards in order to deliver and service to the Taxi Licensing trade. 2.4 Total quantity or scope of tender: Project BackgroundThe Council has a requirement for a further 2 Taxi Inspection Bays The project will be tendered as two separate lots; this is to determine the best whole life costing for the requirement.Lot 1 Direct Purchase with Maintenance AgreementLot 2 Lease Agreement with Maintenance The quality assessment will be the same for each lot, bidders are required to submit 1 ESPD and 1 Tenderer submission and 2 pricing submissions.Each lot pricing will be evaluated separately and added to the quality scoreConfirmation of the preferred option/lot will be finalised once the viability of both options has been evaluated Please note that the Council is under no obligation to accept either Lot 1 (Direct Purchase) or Lot 2 (Lease) and there will be no right to recover costs or expenses incurred by Applicants in the preparation of their responses and for participation in any successive stages of this procurement, whether a contract is awarded or not.Estimated value of £100,000
