Blackpool Pleasure Beach install the final piece of track for Icon

On Wednesday 14th February 2018, the track was officially closed off for Icon at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The Thompson family signed the final piece of track before it was lifted into place completing the circuit of the UK’s first double launch coaster. In this video we see both Amanda and Nick Thompson along with other significant people that were in involved in the construction of the ride. They talk all about the features of Icon and how they hope it’ll bring plenty of people both to Pleasure Beach and Blackpool itself in 2018.
