A pipeline has been launched for Alteration and Refurbishment of Heanor Market Place.The contract start Date is 1 June 2023. Approach to market date is 1 March 2023.Amber Valley Borough Council seeks expressions of interest from suitable construction and civil engineering companies for the redevelopment of Heanor Market Square, Heanor, Derbyshire, DE75 7AAWithin their expression of interest companies will demonstrate suitable experience of public realm works and demonstrate successful completion of contractsTo illustrate these works schemed drawing are included as attachments including•Scheme drawing•Topographical survey•Buried services•Building surveyBriefly the proposed works include,•Adjusted kerbs to highway junctions•Adjusted kerb line to bus stop•New carpark entrance and exit•Raise highway level to ‘Market Place’•Changes to parking and loading bays•Existing block paved areas replaced with new•New planting beds•Drainage revised•Control of entry to the market, by drop bollards•New pedestrian scale and feature lighting within pedestrian areas and car park•New street furniture throughout•New power and water points to serve markets and events•Existing toilets refurbishedAccompanying information.Amber Valley Borough Council would like to receive representation from suitable companies, for consideration please supply the following information.1. Portfolio works including similar public realm works, including, contract value, program outcomes, and client / management reference for the project.2. Short narrative for your proposed management proposals for the site at Heanor, if successful at tender how do you envisage you would manage the works, including,a. Proposed management structure,b. Proposals for managing material deliveries into a public area,c. Site securityd. Managing conflicting requirements of businesses fronting the square and people using the market during the working week and at weekendse. Maintenance of public services e.g. bus service?3. Preliminary review of the proposed site program at Heanor Market Square, this should include the overall contract program duration but also strategies for phasing works to minimize disruption and works for specific areas of the site and should consider, for example, phasing of the works, toa. Potentially bring the carpark back into use early to maintain council revenues on the site,b. Manage the works to minimize disruption to business users on the market.c. Bringing facilities back into use with minimal disruption e.g. public toiletsInstruction for contractorsExpressions of interest should be returned to the email address supplied.These should be received no later than 17th February 2023Contractors supplying details will receive a link to the public portal holding the tender documentation in line with the timescales supplied.
