Your Housing Group set to deliver £10m affordable housing development in Bolton

A former car park in Bolton town centre is set to be transformed by a new housing development delivered by housing provider Your Housing Group, with local firm Forshaw Construction appointed as contractor. Plans for the development, to be named St George’s Row, include 58 affordable homes comprising a mix of two-, three-, and four-beds available for shared ownership and rent to buy. The 1.45-acre site is situated on St Georges Road/Bark Street opposite the former St Helena Mill in the town centreYour Housing Group purchased the land with planning permission in place.Planning approval was granted by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council in December 2021 for the previous landowners. The development has been part funded through Your Housing Group’s strategic partnership with Homes England.Your Housing Group was announced as one of the government housing agency’s strategic partners in January 2019, receiving £87.5m in funding in line with the government’s aspiration to provide more affordable new homes across the country.
