15 Oct 19

The Bromford Housing Association has entered into a £160M partnership with four different contractor companies to deliver approximately 400 homes per year over the course of the next four years in Gloucestershire.
The partnership, named the Bromford Construction Partnership (BCP), includes the Bromford Housing Association as well as Galliford Try Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, E G Carter, and Speller Metcalfe in an agreement that aims to construct around 1,100 new homes between Worcestershire and Bristol.
Bromford Housing Association was also recently announced as a strategic partner of Homes England and, as a result, received a sum of £66M to invest in new social rented, affordable rented, and shared ownership homes.
The Executive Director of New Homes at Bromford, Martyn Blackman stated: “Forming a genuine partnership approach with organisations whose ambition and values align with our own is a key part of the Bromford strategy.
“I am delighted to say that today we launch the Bromford Construction Partnership which is about working collaboratively to increase the number of homes we build, investing in innovation, and ultimately building the best quality homes which will enable our customers to thrive.
“Around £160M will be invested in the wider Gloucestershire area and with the impressive track records of Galliford Try Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, E G Carter and Speller Metcalfe, we are confident the BCP will demonstrate how collaborative working can help deliver the high quality homes needed to combat the UK’s housing crisis.”
The Managing Director of Galliford Try Partnerships West, Craig Currie commented: “We are delighted to have been selected as a construction partner by Bromford to support them with their significant ambitions to build more affordable homes across the region.”
The Director of Land and Partnership at Lovell, Gemma Clissett added: “We are proud to be working in partnership with Bromford to deliver up to 1,100 homes alongside Galliford Try Partnerships, E G Carter and Speller Metcalfe to meet local housing demand. The partnership enables us to pool our respective strengths together to deliver the high-quality new homes, available across a range of tenures, which are so urgently needed across the Midlands and South West.”
