CALA Homes launches brownfield project in Edinburgh

Major UK home builder, CALA Homes, will launch the first phase of its Waterfront Plaza development on the historic port of Leith in Edinburgh this Saturday 13th July 2019.
The Waterfront Plaza development is the latest brownfield construction project undertaken by the company following others at locations including: Albert Dock, Trinity Park, Ten Brunswick Road, and Liberton Grange.
The apartments that are under construction will be a mixture of one, two, and three bedrooms as well as various ground floor colony apartments and duplex colonies, which include two floors within one apartment.
Four colony duplexes have already been reserved in the building with the prices for the various apartments starting from £187,500 while the apartments themselves are flexible and open plan.
The Waterfront Plaza is located in the Shore area of Leith, with the Ocean Terminal in close proximity, providing useful transport links to Edinburgh City Centre, the M8, M9, and A90, in addition to various restaurants, shops, boutiques, and the Royal Yacht Britannia. The is also a regular bus service as well as nearby cycle paths.
Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), Philip Hogg stated: “This part of the city has become a very desirable property hotspot so it’s a privilege and responsibility to be delivering new homes here.
“Leith has great connections to the city centre and an abundance of local amenities, so it’s understandable why there would be such a demand for quality new homes in the area.
“Our selection of properties will help to meet this demand, while also providing enough choice for a range of home-owners, from young families through to professionals.
“We firmly believe that this transformation will breathe new life into this area and continue to establish Leith as one of the city’s most prime locations.”
