Hilti relocates to the new Circle Square Development in Manchester

A company named Hilti, which specialises in construction equipment and software, has made the decision to relocate to Oxford Road in central Manchester, occupying the second, third, and fourth floors of the Number One Circle Square Development which will be completed in July 2020.
Going into more detail, Hilti will officially be making the move to Manchester in December 2020 and will occupy a total floor space of 42,000sq ft. However, the Circle Square neighbourhood itself is being developed by a joint venture of the two companies Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Student, with completion of the entire neighbourhood scheduled for 2025.
The Managing Director of Hilti for Northern Europe and Great Britain, Matias Järnefelt stated: “After listening to feedback from our workforce we selected Number One Circle Square as the new home for our GB Head Office. The move marks our commitment to Manchester with its international airport, reputation for innovation, thriving construction industry and great universities.
“As the hub for Northern Europe, a more modern head office will allow us to better position Hilti on the international jobs market and attract global talent to come and work with our world class team.
“We considered many office locations, but none met our requirements better than Number One Circle Square. Our new working environment will feature spacious open areas, encouraging communication and allowing for more flexible, collaborative and modern working.
The Head of Commercial for Bruntwood SciTech in Manchester, Matt Lee added: “Circle Square is one of the most sought-after places in Manchester for office space owing to its location and access to the city’s finest talent. All of this makes for a connected community of innovative businesses working together to create a world-class digital and tech ecosystem that will lay the groundworks for tomorrow’s most exciting companies.
“Hilti choosing Circle Square for their new home after more than 30 years in Trafford is testament to the retail and amenities on offer there as well as Symphony Park, the first and largest new city park for generations. We’re looking forward to welcoming them to Circle Square later in the year.”
