Kier reappointed to the Norfolk County Council Framework
4 Nov 19

Last week, the construction and property group Kier have been successfully reappointed to the Norfolk County Council Major Construction Work Framework, the combined value of which is estimated at approximately £125M across two banded Lots.
The Major Construction Work Framework has been created to replace the Norfolk County Council Framework, which was previously in operation, and will be responsible for the procurement of new build and refurbishment contracts across the education sector, waste sector, corporate property sector, adult social care sector, and children’s services sector.
The framework will be in operation for a duration of four years and will be open to public sector bodies across Norfolk, with Kier having gained a place onto Lot 2 for projects valued more than £3.5M.
The Managing Director at Kier Regional Building Eastern, Mark Dady stated: “We are very pleased to have been reappointed to the Major Construction Work Framework. It builds on our expertise in delivering public sector work across the region and we look forward to working closely with the public sector bodies to deliver vital projects procured through the framework.”
The Norfolk County Council has recently recreated their construction framework in order to support the delivery of their new public sector strategy ‘Norfolk Futures’ and its vision for public sector provision across the county.
Under the aforementioned Norfolk County Council Framework Kier has also recently completed the development of the White House Farm Primary School in Sprowston.
The White House Farm Primary School was a two-storey development that featured: 14 classrooms, a technology room, group rooms, a main hall, a kitchen, administration offices, toilets, store areas, and other ancillary accommodation in addition to a new entrance, car park area, new hard and soft landscaping, playground spaces, and play equipment.
