Mick George Group Land Extension Package

A Cambridgeshire based construction specialist has landed a multi-service construction package. The Mick George Group, who operate two sites within the Leicestershire region have landed the package which is worth c£20 million for works to be completed at the Magna Park Lutterworth, which is Europe’s largest dedicated logistics and distribution park.

This latest contract represents another high-profile project that the firm is currently connected to, and it will see the business complete various enabling, stabilisation, demolition, environmental and facilities management works on behalf of Gazeley, who are an investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks.

Via various initiatives, the scheme looks to expand the existing 9 million sq ft of floor space, by almost doubling its capacity to 16 sq ft over the next few years.

The development has begun on three speculative logistics and distribution units which total to 525,400 sq ft, will be available for occupancy as of autumn 2020, with a further 746,500 sq ft, which is subject to planning permissions, is also in the planning stages. In total, Magna Park South, Lutterworth has the ability to accommodate 2.8 million sq ft of space, with build-to-suit options also available in a wide range of sizes.

Magna Park Lutterworth also benefits from fantastic transport links to the rest of the UK, thanks to easy access to the M1, M6 and M6 motorways.
