New Phoenix 66 warehouse in Featherstone

The buildings contractor company, Tolent, have completed construction of the new Phoenix 66 state-of-the-art warehousing unit on the Green Lane Industrial Estate in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, handing the property over to Onward Holdings Ltd.
The warehouse features storage space of approximately 66,923sq ft, 3,207sq ft of additional second-floor future office space, 40 parking spaces for commercial vehicles, a large concrete service yard, uniform floor loading of 50sq kNm, six loading doors (including four docks), solar panels on the rooftop, an electric car charging point, and state-of-the-art security systems.
The Director of Onward Holdings, Neil Storey stated: “We are thrilled to announce the availability of Phoenix 66, a quality high bay warehouse unit in a prime location with excellent facilities and transport links. This is a great opportunity to beat the current warehousing shortage as it can be leased as a bespoke unit or managed 3PL warehouse.”
Various logistics companies in Yorkshire have expressed their interest in the site on account of its prime location, being situated near junction 31 of the M62 while the M1 and A1(M) intersections, East coast ports, Doncaster/Sheffield airport, and Leeds Bradford airport are all likewise nearby.
Iain McPhail, Partner at Knight Frank commented: “There are now only a small handful of mid-size warehouse units available in the West Yorkshire area and with continued demand from industrial occupiers in the marketplace, we are confident that the property will let quickly.
“The unit offers occupiers a ‘best in class’ institutional specification including 13.1m eaves height, generous concrete yard area and flexible office and welfare accommodation.”
While Andrew Miller, of Andrew Miller Chartered Surveyors, added: “This is an excellent high-bay warehouse unit which has a 13m eaves height and office accommodation that can easily be expanded to provide more office space or welfare facilities.”
