5. Description: Invitation to Tender to provide a backup Generator at the Specified Location.
The Awarding Authority screening division provide screening services to patients/clients from 18 Cathedral Road, Cardiff and it is essential to maintain power supply to the building to ensure screening programmes are not interrupted through mains power failure.
The backup generator will need to supply the whole building to ensure services continue without interruption. If there is a requirement for out of hours working to minimise disruption to the services, this must be shown separately in the quotation.
Main features must need to include:
Supply and install 165kVa (minimum kVa) standby rated canopied Diesel Driven Generator set
C/W 8 hour fuel take in a attenuated canopy
Supply and install 1 no. 250A automatic transfer switch
Install all relevant cabling and containment to existing panel board including main power cables, signal cables between ATS and generator and cabling to supply battery charger and coolant
Heater
Remote access is required
The System must provide
Sufficient backup power for the site
Have sufficient fuel capacity for a minimum of 8 hours
Have full automation
Fully compliant to latest standards/legislation
Have remote access
Timescales
The awarding authority anticipate the contract start date to be within a month of contract award.
Service Levels and Performance
The generator must be fully tested and functional. Within the first twelve months of installation an agreed call out system must be in place to ensure minimal disruption to the services to maintain the screening programmes. The first year services/maintenance must be included.
Location
18 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9LJ, plus remote access to system is required.
Maintenance
To provide a quote for on-gong maintenance for a three year period with the option to extend for a further 24 months annually, this must include fuel top up.
