II.1.5) Short description of the specific contract:
This is a framework designed for use by public body organisations to enable them to have fully EU and OJEU regulated process for the procurement of electricity and natural gas and associated energy supplier selection.
It is anticipated that the opportunity to procure electricity and gas through this framework arrangement will be taken up by a wide range of public sector organisations, during the initial term. It is not possible to specify exactly who will participate, due to the nature of the framework and the fluid nature of the potential participants however.
The framework consists of 8 separate lots, with potential energy suppliers having the opportunity to bid for all lots or for each separate lot on an individual basis.
