Bedfordshire Sites Gain Planning Permission
7 Sep 21

Dandara Northern Home Counties has received planning permission to build new houses in Biddenham and Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire.
The site at Yelnow Land, Sharnbrook gained reserve matters permission in July 2021, with construction set to begin in September 2021. This development will deliver 51 homes, 30% of them affordable. Dandara’s S106 contributions for this development will go toward school transport, play space, healthcare infrastructure and bus shelters. The Yelnow Lane scheme will also include car and cycle parking, and will be built to ensure it is an energy-efficient and sustainable development.
Reserved matters permission for the land at Gold Lane, Biddenham was granted in late August, with construction expected to begin late in September 2021 as well. Here 119 homes will be developed with 38% being affordable housing. The scheme includes an equipped play area and a large amount of open space for local residents to enjoy, incorporating pedestrian and cycle links that will be available for wider public use.
Simon Pendlebury, Sales and Marketing Director for Dandara, commented: “We are pleased to have received planning permission for these developments of quality new homes which will offer a range of different property types. We have worked hard to ensure that the new homes here are built in keeping with the local area and look forward to working with the local communities in Sharnbrook and Biddenham.”
