Two industrial parks scheduled in the Midlands
10 Oct 19

The construction and property management consultancy company, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK), have recently been appointed to two industrial construction projects in the Midlands, the Peddimore Employment Park and the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Global Parts Logistics Centre.
RLB were appointed to the two projects in the Midlands by the company IM Properties (IMP) after being named as their preferred project delivery partner and will be taking on the roles of Employer’s Agent, Cost Consultant, Principal Designer, and Project Manager.
The Peddimore Employment Park will be situated near Junction Nine of the M42 and will consist of manufacturing and logistics sites over an expanse of 2.7Msq ft of employment space, whereas the JLR Global Parts Logistics Centre will be located near Junction 11 of the M42 in Appleby Magna, near Ashby, on a site covering 2.94Msq ft of space.
The Managing Partner at RLB UK West Midlands, Jo Reynolds stated: “It is a great accolade to be working on the two most significant construction projects that the West Midlands has seen in the last few years and testament to the close working relationship that the RLB team has with IM Properties. Both projects will help strengthen the economy, produce future employment opportunities and enhance the community.”
The UK Project Director at IMP, Jason Jasper added: “Having worked with the team at RLB for more than 20 years we knew that they would understand both our brief and approach, but also the needs and wishes of the clients on these significant projects. RLB’s expertise in the sector and the region, complemented by their national and global experience, means they can offer us worldwide best practice but with a local knowledge and understanding of the community where both builds are taking place.”
The Peddimore Employment Park has also been appointed to the ‘Birmingham City Council Social Value Charter’ while both of the projects form part of a sustainable growth strategy for Birmingham 2011-2031
