Wates Living Space appointed to South East Consortium framework
A subsidiary of the Wates construction and property group named Wates Living Space has significantly expanded the wider group’s framework presence by having been appointed to the South East Consortium (SEC) Internal & External Building Works Framework.
This framework will offer public sector organisations with OJEU-compliant access to a variety of planned maintenance services over its four years of operation, with clients than having the option of either mini-tender contracts or direct award contracts.
Under this framework, Wates Living Space secured positions on five Lots, including: Lot 1b (Major Refurbishments with a value more than £1M), Lot 2 (Kitchens and Bathrooms), Lot 3 (Windows and Doors), and Lots 4a and 4b (Flat and Pitched Roofing).
The Managing Director of Wates Property Services, David Morgan stated: “We are extremely proud to have secured a position on SEC’s leading framework and to be joining a team that shares in our solutions-driven approach to quality customer care.
“The Wates Living Space team prides itself on its commitment to providing friendly, professional and expert services tailored to our clients’ needs. This ethos underpins everything that we do and we look forward to working in partnership with SEC to deliver an exceptional service to our customers.”
On all of the Lots where Wates Living Space gained a position, apart from Lot 3, it was ranked as the top contractor, meaning that clients can appoint them directly and without it being necessary for a lengthy bidding process to ensue.
The Managing Director of SEC, Marc Baines added: “We are delighted for Wates and look forward to building a great working relationship with them on behalf of our Members. The outgoing framework saw £111M of contract awards – so this is a fantastic opportunity with a new model to see if we can deliver even more savings for the sector and beyond.”
