DUBLIN, IRELAND – Over 2,000 construction industry professionals will attend the National Construction Summit taking place on the 2 May 2018 in the Citywest Convention Centre, Dublin, Ireland.

The National Construction Summit is the Ireland’s largest gathering of construction professionals and will welcome over 1,000 construction companies and related professionals,100 exhibitors and a host of speakers across five stages to discuss the emerging challenges within the construction industry.

The Irish construction sector is predicted to grow by 14% in 2018 and is currently ranked as the second fastest growing construction sector in Europe. With €18 billion of major public and private projects planned over the next three years, the Summit will consider the impact of Brexit, the sustainability of growth in the sector and the new and emerging products, trends and technologies being employed by modern construction companies.

“The National Construction Summit gives industry leaders, policymakers, developers and officials the opportunity to engage and debate the challenges that are likely to emerge over the coming months and years especially with Brexit on the horizon. A hard Brexit is still possible and the potential knock on effects for a still recovering construction sector in Ireland are huge.” said Colin Murphy, Organiser of the National Construction Summit.

Last year’s conference featured speakers from 11 of the largest projects across Ireland valued at €2.2bn including the National Children’s Hospital, The Exo, Centre Parcs Holiday Resort, Connolly Creative Quarter, Bolands Quay Development and more.

Co-located Conferences

With the construction industry in Ireland adding over 50,000 jobs since 2013 and with momentum continuing to increase the National Construction Summit will also feature several co-located events to highlight and showcase the various sectors that work hand in hand within the industry as a whole.

There will be four co-located events at the Summit including the National Engineering Summit, the Architecture, Design and Planning Summit, the National Facility Management and Maintenance Show and the National Plant, Machinery and Materials Expo.

“We’ve created a conference that brings together every corner of the industry to learn, debate and network with each other. We will also have several seminars taking place covering a range of topics including building control regulations, planning, surveying, sustainability, modular construction methods, BIM and modern technologies. ” Mr.Murphy added.
